Vivaio Alpha 3


Hello, and welcome to the second devlog of Vivaio!

For this release we have added more content to the game: a new mechanic, a new plant and a new customer. Also, we’ve been improving the art and trying to make the game smoother. We’ve also done some cool improvements.

Here is what we have done so far for Alpha 3:

New features

  • Added three new objects: fertilizer, composter and dried plants. Fertilizer can be bought using Farmazon, or can be produced with a composter and dried plants. The composter is also available at Farmazon, and dried plants can be obtained with the harvested (or dried) crops.
  • New crop: lettuce.
  • New customer: Jasmine.
  • New character animation: harvest with the basket.
  • Added warning for the drip bottle when empty.
  • Player sprite now can be behind objects.
  • Now you can build above grass.

Improvements

  • Plowed soil has been improved (now is waaay prettier).
  • All plants sprites have been improved (also prettier).
  • All seeds sprites have been improved (prettier too).
  • Dirt sprites have been improved.
  • Now you can build the object in hand pressing B.
  • Cursor sprite has been changed with a custom sprite.
  • Sleeping bed sprites updated.
  • Sleeping UI updated.

Changes

  • Updated tutorial.
  • Night color.

Bugfixing

  • Recently planted seeds not being watered with drip bottled.
